Talent and inspiration are the aces up the sleeve of the spectacular Californian rider, Ben Bostrom. A product of American dirt-track racing, Bostrom rode a bike for the first time at the age of 4 and took part in his first race at the age of 8, continuing a family tradition. Ben is in fact the son of a former rider and his two brothers Eric and Tony are also professional road-racers. His career began in 1992 and after just six years he was crowned American Superbike Champion. His brilliant results earned him a place in the world championship where he made his debut with the 2000 factory team. He ended the season in the Ducati NCR team, showing considerable determination but above all demonstrating that he had adapted his spectacular riding style to the more ‘traditional’ European tracks. This year Ben Bostrom is back once again on a factory Ducati bike for the Ducati L&M team. His Factory 996R will be fitted with Dunlop tyres, with which the American can best express his spectacular riding style. Ben Bostrom was born in Redding (California) on 7 May 1974. He lives in Granada Hills (California). He trains on motocross bikes, dirt-track and in the gym. His favourite sports are snowboard, dirt bikes and golf. He is 1.74 m tall and weighs 71 kg. |
