TROY BAYLISS
DUCATI TEAM INFOSTRADA

  AUSTRALIA

Troy Bayliss was the revelation of last season’s WSBK championship. The Australian rider, competing in the world championship for the first time, stepped onto the winner’s podium in his third race of the year for the first of his two wins. The 1999 British Superbike champion showed that he was not in awe of his colleagues and proved to be one of the most determined riders throughout the 2000 season. The talented young Australian stepped onto the podium a total of seven times in the ten rounds in which he took part and scored many of the vital points that allowed Ducati to win the much sought-after Constructors’ title. Troy Bayliss, who was confirmed as 2001 factory team rider back in September, will surely be one of the favourites for this year’s world title.

Troy Bayliss was born in Taree (Australia) on 30 March 1969. He lives in Europe with his wife Kim and their two children, Mitchell and Abbey.
